The novena in honour of the Holy Spirit is the oldest of all novenas since it was first made at the direction of Our Lord Himself when He sent His apostles back to Jerusalem to await the coming of the Holy Spirit on the first Pentecost. It is still the only novena officially prescribed by the Church. Addressed to the Third Person of the Blessed Trinity, it is a powerful plea for the light and strength and love so sorely needed by every Christian.

To celebrate the Pentecost, the descent of the Holy Spirit on the Church, the CCCRS would like to invite you to pray the Holy Spirit Novena! It is a powerful and moving novena that is meant to help us open ourselves up to the third person of the Holy Trinity.

Please find below the complete schedule for the 9 Day Novena, we will start on the Ascension Day (May 18) and end on Friday (May 26) before the Pentecost Vigil.

The Calgary Catholic Charismatic Renewal Society (CCCRS) is hosting a Healing service led by St. Luke’s Charismatic prayer group on Thursday, 16^th February at St. Luke’s Parish. The service will begin with praying the Holy Rosary at 6:30 PM, followed by Mass celebrated by Fr. Fernando Genogaling  at 7:00 PM. There will be praise and worship after Mass led by Anthony Banka, and praying over for individuals that request prayers.
